Analysis of the Relationship between Work Motivation, Work Discipline, and Work Environment on Employee Work Productivity in Medan Market Regional Public Companies
Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the effect of work motivation, work discipline, and work environment on employee work productivity at the Regional Public Company of Medan Market. The study employed a quantitative approach with an associative method to examine the relationship between independent variables and the dependent variable. The population consisted of all employees of the Regional Public Company of Medan Market, totaling 89 respondents. A saturated sampling technique was applied, resulting in a sample size equal to the population. Primary data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires to employees, while the data were analyzed using SPSS version 24 through multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that, both partially and simultaneously, work motivation, work discipline, and work environment had a positive and significant effect on employee work productivity. Work discipline was the most dominant variable affecting work productivity, as indicated by the highest beta coefficient and t-value. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) was 0.931, indicating that 93.1% of the variation in employee work productivity could be explained by the three independent variables. In addition, the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable was categorized as very strong, with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.966.
