COPYRIGHT NOTICE
By publishing in JAMBD, the authors grant the journal the right of first publication and the non-exclusive rights necessary to publish, distribute, archive, index, preserve, and make the article openly accessible as part of the scholarly record.
Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
Authors retain copyright in articles published by JAMBD. Copyright is not transferred to the journal or publisher merely as a condition of publication.
Authors grant JAMBD the right of first publication together with the non-exclusive rights necessary to reproduce, publish, distribute, communicate, archive, preserve, index, and make the article available through the journal's website and scholarly information systems.
Submission of a manuscript to JAMBD indicates that the authors confirm that:
- the manuscript is original and has not been previously published as a journal article;
- the manuscript is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal;
- all authors have made appropriate scholarly contributions and have approved the submitted version;
- all third-party material has been properly cited and permission has been obtained where required;
- the manuscript does not infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of another person or organization; and
- the authors have authority to grant JAMBD the publication rights described in this policy.
Material previously made available as part of a thesis, dissertation, institutional repository, research report, conference abstract, or other non-journal scholarly record does not automatically prevent consideration by JAMBD.
Authors must disclose any relevant prior dissemination to the editor and ensure that the submitted manuscript represents an appropriate scholarly journal article rather than undisclosed duplicate publication.
Unless otherwise indicated for specific third-party material, articles published in JAMBD are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
These permissions apply for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that the license conditions are satisfied.
Users must give appropriate credit to the author(s), provide the article title and source, identify JAMBD as the place of first publication, provide the DOI or article URL where available, include a link to the license, and indicate whether changes were made.
If users remix, transform, or build upon the material, they must distribute their contribution under the same license or another license permitted as compatible under the terms of CC BY-SA 4.0.
Attribution must not suggest that JAMBD or the original authors endorse the user, the reuse, or any modified version unless such endorsement has been expressly granted.
Because authors retain copyright, they may enter into additional non-exclusive arrangements for the distribution or reuse of the published work, provided that the original publication in JAMBD is appropriately acknowledged.
Authors may deposit and distribute the published article through:
- institutional repositories;
- subject or disciplinary repositories;
- personal or institutional scholarly websites;
- research profiles and academic networks, subject to their terms; and
- other lawful scholarly archives.
Authors should cite the original JAMBD publication and DOI when redistributing the published version.
The CC BY-SA 4.0 license applies to material for which the authors hold the necessary rights unless otherwise indicated.
Photographs, figures, datasets, instruments, maps, illustrations, trademarks, or other third-party material may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions.
Authors are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions before publication and for clearly identifying material that is not covered by the article's Creative Commons license.
JAMBD does not provide legal or patent advice, and authors remain responsible for protecting their intellectual-property interests before publication where appropriate.
The license attached to an article forms part of its publication record. JAMBD will seek to maintain consistency between the license information displayed on the journal website, article PDF, article metadata, and indexing records.
A later change in the journal's general licensing policy does not automatically replace the license already attached to an article at the time of publication.
