Manuscript Types
Jurnal Akuntansi, Manajemen dan Bisnis Digital (JAMBD)
This policy defines the categories of scholarly manuscripts considered by JAMBD and the minimum academic expectations for each category.
1. Scope of Accepted Manuscripts
JAMBD accepts manuscripts that make a clear scholarly contribution within accounting, management, business, finance, entrepreneurship, and digital business. All submissions must be original, relevant to the journal’s aims and scope, and prepared according to the Author Guidelines.
2. Original Research Article
Reports new empirical findings based on quantitative, qualitative, mixed-method, survey, experimental, archival, secondary-data, or other defensible research designs. The paper should normally include an introduction with a clear gap and contribution, method, results, discussion, conclusion and implications, declarations, and references.
3. Review Article
Provides a rigorous and critical synthesis of a clearly defined body of literature. Systematic, structured, bibliometric, and integrative reviews are welcome when search strategy, selection criteria, analytical method, and scholarly contribution are transparent.
4. Conceptual or Theoretical Article
Develops, extends, integrates, or critically evaluates concepts, frameworks, or theories. The manuscript must go beyond descriptive summary and offer a clear conceptual contribution, propositions, framework, or theoretically grounded implications.
5. Case Study / Applied Research Article
Examines a specific organizational, industry, policy, accounting, financial, entrepreneurial, or digital-business problem using a transparent and academically defensible method. The paper must generate insights beyond a purely descriptive institutional report.
6. Short Communication
A concise report of a timely and methodologically sound finding that merits scholarly communication but does not require a full-length article. The same standards of peer review, ethics, originality, and declarations apply.
Not Normally Accepted
News items, promotional materials, classroom assignments without a clear research contribution, purely descriptive reports, or manuscripts outside the journal scope are not considered research articles.
Policy Commitment
JAMBD applies this policy consistently to protect editorial independence, research integrity, transparency, and the reliability of the scholarly record.
