Research Misconduct Policy
Jurnal Akuntansi, Manajemen dan Bisnis Digital (JAMBD)
This policy explains how JAMBD receives, assesses, investigates, and responds to allegations of research or publication misconduct.
1. Scope
JAMBD takes allegations seriously whether they arise before or after publication.
2. Examples of Misconduct
Potential misconduct includes:
- fabrication or falsification of data, cases, respondents, documents, images, statistics, or results;
- plagiarism or substantial unattributed reuse;
- duplicate submission, redundant publication, or deceptive salami publication;
- citation manipulation or coercive citation;
- peer-review manipulation or false reviewer identity;
- false affiliation, fabricated credentials, purchased manuscripts, paper-mill activity, or fraudulent submission;
- inappropriate authorship or undisclosed conflicts of interest; and
- unethical research, including missing required ethics approval or consent.
3. Raising Concerns
Concerns may be submitted through the official journal contact channel and should identify the manuscript/article, explain the allegation, and provide supporting information where possible.
4. Initial Assessment
The Editor-in-Chief or a designated independent editor evaluates whether the concern is specific, credible, relevant, and requires investigation. Editors with conflicts must recuse themselves.
5. Investigation
The journal may request explanations, raw data, research records, ethics documentation, contribution statements, or other evidence. Where appropriate, JAMBD may contact the relevant institution, research-integrity office, or funder.
6. Outcomes
Possible outcomes include no further action, revision, rejection, correction, expression of concern, retraction, authorship correction, notification of institutions, or other proportionate action.
7. Fair Process
The journal handles allegations as confidentially as reasonably possible, avoids premature conclusions, and provides relevant parties an opportunity to respond.
Policy Commitment
JAMBD applies this policy consistently to protect editorial independence, research integrity, transparency, and the reliability of the scholarly record.
