The Influence of Financial Literacy, Lifestyle, and Consumptive Behavior on Interest in Using Kredivo Among Management Program Students at Panca Budi Development University
Abstract
This quantitative study with an associative approach was conducted to examine the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, and consumptive behavior on the interest of Management Study Program students at Panca Budi Development University in using Kredivo. Data for this research were collected through questionnaires distributed to 86 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. The analysis results indicate that all three independent variables have a positive and significant effect, both partially and simultaneously. This implies that the combination of financial understanding, modern lifestyle demands, and a high consumerist tendency further drives students to utilize this Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) service. Based on the instrument testing results, all items in the questionnaire met the criteria for validity and reliability. Furthermore, classical assumption testing demonstrated that the regression model met the analytical requirements, as the data were normally distributed and free from multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity. The coefficient of determination, test revealed that the three independent variables contribute 69% to the interest in using Kredivo, while the remaining 31% is influenced by other factors outside this research model. Based on these findings, students are expected to enhance their financial literacy to manage their personal finances more wisely, ensuring that future use of Pay Later services is well-planned and remains within their financial limits.
