Abstract

This study explores the influence of digital finance and financial inclusion on community income in the Pulau Ketam Forest Reserve area, Kuala Perlis, Malaysia. In recent years, digital financial services have emerged as essential tools for expanding access to financial resources, especially in remote and underserved regions. Financial inclusion, supported by these technological advancements, has the potential to improve livelihoods, reduce poverty, and promote inclusive economic growth. However, the effectiveness of such interventions in geographically isolated and ecologically sensitive areas remains insufficiently examined. Using a mixed-method approach, this research investigates the relationship between digital financial tools, the level of financial inclusion, and income generation among local communities. The findings are expected to provide insights for policymakers, development agencies, and financial service providers on how to enhance financial access and support sustainable income growth in marginalized rural settings.
