Abstract
This study aims to examine the effects of chili prices, business capital, and business experience on the income of chili commodity traders at the Pangkalan Brandan Traditional Market, Langkat Regency. A quantitative approach with an associative research design was employed. The study involved 60 chili traders who were selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews and analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics. The results indicate that chili prices, business capital, and business experience each have a positive and significant effect on traders' income. Simultaneously, these three variables also have a positive and significant influence on income. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.709 indicates that 70.9% of the variation in traders' income is explained by chili prices, business capital, and business experience, while the remaining 29.1% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings provide practical insights for traders and policymakers in developing strategies to improve the income of chili commodity traders in traditional markets.
