Diseminasi Poster Sebagai Edukasi Pemilihan Media Promosi Yang Tepat Bagi Pedagang Di Kawasan Objek Wisata Kota Bengkulu
Abstract
Bengkulu City's tourist attractions are not only known as popular tourist destinations but also as centers for the development of UMKM that contribute significantly to the local economy. The problems faced by traders in the Panjang Beach area of Bengkulu City are related to marketing and market access that does not reach a wide audience as an alternative when it is not the tourist season. Therefore, a team of lecturers and students from the Communication Studies Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Dehasen University, Bengkulu will carry out Community Service (PKM) activities as an effort to develop the capacity of UMKM through educational activities that enable traders to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to be able to choose the right promotional media to support their businesses. The stages of this community service activity consist of a preparation stage, an implementation stage with the provision of materials in the form of poster dissemination and mentoring, and a discussion stage. This activity went well and is expected to be an anticipatory step in helping traders in the Panjang Beach area of Bengkulu City develop their businesses and as a form of active concern from lecturers and students in transferring knowledge, skills, and technology to the community, especially UMKM. Knowledge of tips and tricks on how to choose the right promotional media is very important for UMKM, because they are now trying to create more interesting content to support their online product sales strategies.
