Edukasi Pencegahan Narkoba Berbasis Literasi Digital dan Community Empowerment Pada Komunitas Remaja Karang Taruna di Desa Sidoluhur Kabupaten Seluma

Abstract

Drug abuse among adolescents is a public health issue that requires structured, educational, and community-based prevention efforts. Digital technology enables adolescents to access various types of information, including misleading information, harmful content, and risky peer influence related to drug abuse. This community service program aimed to improve knowledge, preventive attitudes, digital literacy skills, and youth participation among Karang Taruna members in Sidoluhur Village, Seluma Regency. The program applied an educational-participatory method through interactive counseling, group discussion, refusal-skill simulation, digital literacy training, and the establishment of youth anti-drug cadres. The number of participants was 25 adolescents. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test, post-test, participant observation, and assessment of digital campaign outputs. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of drug risks, their ability to evaluate digital information, and their commitment to developing a community-based drug prevention movement. This program suggests that integrating digital literacy and community empowerment is relevant for preventing drug abuse among rural adolescent communities.
