Abstract

This community service program focuses on optimizing the strengthening of students' Islamic religious character through a teacher workshop at MAS Islamiyah Sunggal Medan. The workshop aims to strengthen the role of teachers in building an Islamic madrasa culture and instilling religious values amidst the rapid development of digital technology. Digital technology provides easy access to information and learning media, but also presents serious challenges to students' morals and character. Strengthening teachers' competencies in integrating Islamic values into digital-based learning is crucial to maintaining education's relevance and value. This workshop is designed to improve teachers' competencies in designing and implementing learning that aligns with Islamic madrasa culture, strengthening the internalization of religious values in students, and optimizing the positive use of digital technology in character education. A participatory approach involving lectures, discussions, simulations, and hands-on practice allows teachers to develop skills in creating learning that aligns with Islamic values. The workshop results showed that teachers at MAS Islamiyah Sunggal Medan have become more adaptive, creative, and able to utilize technology to integrate Islamic values into their learning. Teachers are able to serve as role models in shaping the religious character of students, thereby maintaining and developing Islamic madrasa culture, relevant to the challenges of the times. This strengthening of religious character is expected to have a positive impact on the development of student personality and create a harmonious learning environment with Islamic values relevant to the digital era.
