Penguatan Pendidikan Hukum Islam dalam Pembentukan Karakter Anti-Bullying di Kalangan Siswa Madrasah Aliyah Miftahussalam Medan
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the strengthening of Islamic legal education in shaping anti-bullying character among students of Madrasah Aliyah Miftahussalam Medan. The issue addressed is the frequent occurrence of bullying behavior in educational environments, which not only disrupts learning comfort but also contradicts the principles of Islamic law that uphold compassion, justice, and respect for human dignity. This community service activity employs a qualitative approach with field research methods, including observations, in-depth interviews with fiqh teachers, guidance and counseling teachers, the head of the madrasah, and students, as well as document analysis related to character habituation programs in the school. The findings of the study indicate that the strengthening of Islamic legal education is carried out through three main strategies: the integration of Islamic law materials into learning, such as lessons on ethics (akhlaq), the prohibition of ghibah and slander, as well as proper manners in interaction, all of which directly contribute to instilling anti-bullying values; the habituation of discipline and noble character (akhlakul karimah) through teachers’ role modeling, routine guidance, and school regulations grounded in Islamic principles; and the creation of a religious environment that encourages the internalization of values such as unity (ukhuwah) and mutual respect. The integration of Islamic legal education has proven effective in reducing bullying behavior because it fosters students’ spiritual awareness, self-control, and sense of responsibility. The study concludes that strengthening Islamic legal education plays a strategic role in shaping students’ anti-bullying character. Through learning, habituation, and a school culture rooted in syariah values, the madrasah is able to create a safe, harmonious, and Islamic-character learning environment.
