Pelatihan Pembuatan Media Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris Berbasis Nilai-nilai Islam Menggunakan Aplikasi Canva Bagi Guru SDN 03 Kabawetan Kabupaten Kepahiang

Abstract

The Community Service Activity (PKM) is entitled “Training on the Development of English Learning Media Based on Islamic Values Using the Canva Application for Teachers of SDN 03 Kabawetan, Kabawetan District, Kepahiang Regency.” This activity was conducted on 29 November 2025 at SDN 03 Kabawetan, Kepahiang Regency, with elementary school teachers as the primary target participants. This activity was motivated by the need for teachers to develop English learning media that are creative, innovative, and relevant to the advancement of digital technology, while also integrating Islamic values as parts of strengthening character education. Based on field conditions, the limitations were still found in teachers’ ability to utilize digital learning media and instructional design applications. The objective of this PKM activity was to enhance teachers’ knowledge and skills in designing English learning media based on Islamic values using the Canva application. The implementation methods included material presentation, hands-on practice training, assistance in developing learning media, and evaluation of the activity outcomes. The results showed an improvement in teachers’ understanding and skills in using the Canva application to create engaging and religiously meaningful English learning media. Teachers were able to produce learning media that are ready to be used in classroom instruction.
