Edukasi Karies Gigi dan Demonstrasi Cara Menyikat Gigi yang Benar pada Anak Usia Dini Untuk Mencegah Gigi Berlubang Di SD Negeri 02 Kabawetan Kabupaten Kepahiang

Abstract

Dental caries is a common health problem among elementary school children, characterized by cavities, pain, and impaired chewing function. This condition can be caused by high consumption of sweet foods and poor understanding of dental health (WHO, 2020). This activity aims to increase students' knowledge about dental caries and teach them proper toothbrushing techniques. Implementation methods included lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and discussions. Results showed an improvement in students' ability to explain the material and practice proper toothbrushing techniques after the activity (Sari & Rahayu, 2022). Education has been proven effective in developing understanding and skills for maintaining oral health from an early age.
