  • assigning and registering article metadata and DOI information;
  • distributing article metadata to indexing and abstracting services;

3. Author Rights After Publication

Because authors retain copyright, they may continue to use their published work for legitimate academic and professional purposes, subject to the journal's Licensing Policy and appropriate acknowledgement of the original publication.

Authors may, for example:

  • use the article in teaching and academic presentations;
  • include the article or portions of it in a thesis or dissertation;
  • deposit permitted versions in institutional or subject repositories;
  • share the article through personal or institutional academic websites;
  • use the work in a future book, compilation, or other scholarly work; and
  • distribute the work in accordance with the applicable open-access license.

When the published version is reused, authors should acknowledge that the work was originally published in EKOMBIS REVIEW: Jurnal Ilmiah Ekonomi dan Bisnis and provide the DOI or stable URL where available.

4. Author Responsibility for Copyright

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript does not unlawfully infringe copyright, intellectual property rights, or other proprietary rights belonging to third parties.

Authors must ensure that any third-party content reproduced in the manuscript is either:

  • used under a license or legal basis that permits such use;
  • within an applicable copyright exception or limitation; or
  • supported by appropriate permission from the copyright holder where permission is required.
5. Third-Party Copyrighted Material

Third-party material may include photographs, illustrations, figures, tables, maps, questionnaires, measurement instruments, scales, datasets, extensive quotations, previously published diagrams, or other copyrighted content.

Where permission is required, the author must obtain permission before publication and retain documentation supporting the permission.

Important: Third-party material included in an article is not automatically governed by the copyright terms applicable to the article when that material carries a separate copyright or licensing notice.
6. Permission to Reproduce Copyrighted Material

When copyrighted content from another source requires permission for reuse, authors must obtain the necessary authorization from the appropriate copyright holder.

The editorial office may request documentation demonstrating that permission has been granted before publication.

Failure to secure necessary permissions may result in removal of the material, delay of publication, rejection of the manuscript, or appropriate post-publication action.

7. Originality and Prior Publication

Submission to EKOMBIS REVIEW indicates that the manuscript has not been formally published as substantially the same journal article and is not simultaneously being considered by another journal.

Where relevant, authors must disclose prior public dissemination of the work, including a thesis, dissertation, institutional report, working paper, conference material, or preprint, so that the editor can assess originality, copyright status, and potential duplicate-publication concerns.

8. Copyright and Authorship

Copyright ownership does not replace the journal's requirements concerning authorship and contributorship.

All listed authors must have appropriate scholarly responsibility for the work and must approve the submitted and final versions of the manuscript. Persons who do not satisfy the journal's authorship requirements must not be listed as authors solely for copyright, institutional, financial, or honorary purposes.

9. Patents and Other Intellectual Property Rights

Authors are responsible for considering whether research results contain patentable inventions, commercially sensitive information, trade secrets, or other intellectual property that may require protection before public disclosure.

Publication of an article may constitute public disclosure. Authors should therefore address relevant intellectual-property protection before publication where necessary.

10. Copyright and Post-Publication Actions

Copyright ownership does not prevent EKOMBIS REVIEW from taking legitimate editorial action when necessary to maintain the scholarly record.

Where appropriate under the journal's publication-ethics policies, the journal may publish corrections, retraction notices, expressions of concern, or other editorial notices while maintaining a transparent record of the original publication and subsequent action.

11. Copyright Statement in Published Articles
Recommended copyright statement:

Copyright © Author(s).
The author(s) retain copyright in the published work.
12. Relationship with the Licensing Policy
