Persepsi Mahasiswa Terhadap Keterbukaan Informasi Mengenai Media Sosial Instagram @Fisipupr Pada Jurusan Administrasi Negara
Abstract
The success of public communication in higher education is greatly influenced by transparent and easily accessible information disclosure through digital media. This study aims to analyze the extent to which students' perceptions influence information disclosure through the official Instagram social media account @fisipupr at the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Palangka Raya University. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with an online survey method of 108 active students of the class of 2025. Data were collected using a Likert scale of 1–4 and analyzed with a descriptive statistical model using SPSS version 27. The results showed that students' perceptions of information disclosure through the @fisipupr account were in the good category with an average value of 3.08. The information need indicator (3.16) and ease of access (3.17) obtained the highest scores, indicating that the account is effective in conveying information quickly, clearly, and easily understood. However, the participation and interaction indicator obtained the lowest score (2.74), indicating the need for improved two-way communication between students and the faculty. Overall, the @fisipupr account plays an important role as a digital communication tool that strengthens trust, engagement, and openness of information that is more transparent, interactive, and responsive to student needs.
