Penguatan Kapasitas PKBM Serumpun Jaya melalui Pendampingan Berkelanjutan Layanan Pendidikan Nonformal
Abstract
This community service initiative was conducted to strengthen the institutional capacity of PKBM Serumpun Jaya in delivering and managing effective, sustainable non-formal education services. Efforts focused on enhancing the institution's administrative governance and developing educators' instructional competencies. A needs assessment identified key challenges: suboptimal administrative management systems and a limited range of teaching strategies employed by tutors. To address these issues, the initiative utilized a continuous mentoring approach, incorporating managerial workshops, technical training, and coaching clinics for tutors to boost professional capacity. Results demonstrated a significant improvement in administrative management efficiency, evidenced by more systematic organization of documents and operational procedures. Furthermore, tutors successfully implemented innovative, participatory, and learner-centered teaching methods. These findings indicate that the continuous mentoring program positively contributed to strengthening PKBM’s role in providing high-quality, inclusive, and community-responsive non-formal education services.
