Peningkatan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Melalui Pengembangan UMKM Berbasis Inovasi Tepung Beras di Desa Talang Tangsi, Kabupaten Lahat, Sumatera Selatan
Abstract
Developing local potential through product innovation is a very strategic step in improving the welfare of the Talang Tangsi village community. This PKM activity focuses on training innovation in processing rice flour as a basic ingredient for processed food products in Talang Tangsi Village, Pajar Bulan District, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra. The main objective of this activity is to increase the creativity and skills of the community, especially PKK mothers, MSMEs and Karang Taruna actors, in processing rice flour into various economically valuable products such as traditional cakes, dry snacks, and modern processed rice flour-based products. The implementation method includes socialization regarding the potential and benefits of rice flour, direct training in making innovative products, entrepreneurship mentoring, and evaluation of the level of understanding of participants. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the knowledge and abilities of participants in developing processed rice flour-based products. Of the total 35 participants, 21 people (70%) stated that they understood the material very well, while 9 people (30%) stated that they understood. In addition to improving skills, this activity can generate new motivation for the community to develop home businesses and expand marketing networks, so that it is expected to increase the income and welfare of the Talang Tangsi Village community in a sustainable manner.
