Abstract

The Talang Tangsi Farmer Group Business located in Talang Tangsi Village, Pajar Bulan District, Lahat Regency, encountered challenges in coffee production and marketing. The roasting process was still carried out manually, resulting in inconsistent product quality and limited production capacity. In addition, marketing activities relied mainly on conventional methods, limiting market reach and business competitiveness. This community service program aimed to improve coffee production capacity and business competitiveness through the implementation of semi-automatic roasting technology and digital marketing. The program employed a participatory approach consisting of planning and socialization, needs assessment, technology training and implementation, mentoring, evaluation, and sustainability stages. The results showed that the partners were able to operate the semi-automatic roasting machine independently, leading to a more efficient production process and more consistent coffee quality. Furthermore, the participants gained skills in managing digital marketing through social media, improving product packaging and labeling, and creating promotional content to expand market reach. Overall, the program contributed positively to increasing production capacity, product quality, and marketing capability, thereby strengthening the long-term competitiveness of the Talang Tangsi coffee business.
