Design of a Web-Based Point-of-Sale Application for Fadilla Mini Market
Abstract
Fadillah Mini Market is a small retail store that sells everyday household goods. At present, its transaction records, stock data, and financial reports are still handled manually or in a semi-manual way. This often leads to counting mistakes, stock numbers that do not match reality, and late monthly sales reports. This study aims to develop a web-based cashier (Point of Sale) application to make store operations more efficient. The development followed the Waterfall approach, starting from gathering requirements, designing the system, writing the program code, and finally testing it. The application was built with PHP together with a framework such as Laravel or CodeIgniter, combined with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL for the database. The application was tested with the Black-Box technique to verify that each feature functions properly. As a result, a web-based POS application was produced that speeds up payment processing, updates stock data automatically in real time, and produces accurate sales reports. This system is intended to support Fadilla Mini Market's management in to make business decisions and to serve customers better.
