Implementation Of The Fcfs Algorithm In The Ari Barbershop Booking System Based On Time Slot Scheduling
Abstract
This research aims to design and build a web-based barbershop booking system at Ari Barbershop by implementing the First Come First Served (FCFS) algorithm combined with time slot scheduling. The main problem encountered is the manual queuing process, which often results in customer congestion, uncertain waiting times, and inefficient service. The solution offered is an online booking system that allows customers to make reservations in advance by selecting a service time (time slot). The FCFS algorithm is used to determine the order of service based on the booking time, thus ensuring fairness in the queue. The concept of time slot scheduling is used to divide service time to avoid schedule conflicts and minimize customer waiting time. The system development method used is the waterfall method, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. This system was built using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL. The expected outcome of this research is the creation of a system that can improve queue management efficiency, simplify the booking process for customers, and enhance service quality at Ari Barbershop.
