Abstract

Passing accuracy is fundamental to maintaining possession and building play in futsal, and it requires training patterns that reflect the demands of the game. This study investigated the effects of stationary and moving passing drills on the passing accuracy of Academy Curup United players and compared the effectiveness of the two training methods. An experimental pretest-posttest two-group design was used. The population consisted of 30 players, all of whom were included as the sample and divided into stationary-passing and moving-passing groups. Passing accuracy was measured for 30 seconds using a wall target. Data analysis included normality and homogeneity tests, paired-samples t-tests, and an independent-samples t-test using SPSS 25. Stationary passing produced a mean improvement of 3.933 with a significance value of 0.000 and a 23.86% increase. Moving passing produced a mean improvement of 4.533 with a significance value of 0.000 and a 32.36% increase. The between-group comparison yielded a significance value of 0.021. Both training methods significantly improved passing accuracy, but moving passing generated the larger improvement. The findings support the use of mobile passing drills because their movement component more closely represents the technical demands encountered in futsal.
