Sosialisasi Pemanfaatan Media Digital Berbasis Cerita dalam Pelestarian Bahasa Daerah
Abstract
Regional languages are a vital part of cultural heritage that needs to be preserved from an early age. However, the advancement of digital technology and the dominance of national and foreign languages have led to a decline in the use of regional languages in daily life. Conversely, rapidly evolving digital media can be leveraged as an educational tool to reintroduce regional languages to children through engaging and interactive storytelling methods. This initiative aims to enhance the understanding and skills of educators and parents in utilizing story-based digital media to preserve regional languages. The implementation process comprises preparation, outreach, demonstrations of digital media usage, practical sessions on creating stories in regional languages, and evaluation through observation and participant satisfaction surveys. Expected outcomes include increased participant awareness regarding the importance of regional language preservation, improved proficiency in using story-based digital media, and the creation of digital story materials suitable for use in both educational settings and the home environment. This program is expected to foster the positive use of digital technology as an innovative learning medium while simultaneously strengthening local cultural identity through the preservation of regional languages.
