Design of a Web-Based Information System for Document Services in Manau IX 2 Village Using Barcodes
Abstract
In the era of digital transformation, village governments are required to provide fast, accurate, and transparent public services. The mail service process in Manau IX 2 Village is still carried out manually, resulting in various obstacles such as service delays, recording errors, and difficulty in searching for mail archives. To address these issues, this study aims to design a web-based village mail service information system with a barcode feature that can simplify the process of creating and verifying letters digitally. The research method used is the Waterfall software development model, which consists of the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system was developed using a web-based programming language and a MySQL database. A barcode feature is added to each letter as a unique identifier that allows for automatic verification of the letter's authenticity. The expected outcome of this research is the creation of a web-based village letter service information system that can improve the efficiency of village officials, accelerate the service process for the public, and ensure the security and authenticity of letters through a barcode system.
