Abstract
Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) states that the prevalence of LBW is estimated at around 15-20% of all births worldwide, with more than 20 million babies experiencing LBW. Based on the results of the Indonesian Health Standards (SKI, 2023), the average proportion of birth weight <2500 grams (LBW) in infants from all provinces in Indonesia is 6.1%. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between nutritional status, maternal age, and parity with the incidence of Low Birth Weight (LBW). The method used was a Cross Sectional approach, data were collected from secondary data from the medical records of the UPTD Betungan Care Health Center. With a sample of 360 mothers giving birth in the UPTD Betungan Care Health Center area using a total sampling technique. The results of this study show a univariate test analysis that almost all respondents (80.3%) have good nutritional status, almost all respondents (84.2%) are of non-risk age, most respondents (58.9%) are of non-risk parity and a small proportion of respondents (7.8%) have LBW. The results of the Bivariate analysis showed a relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of LBW where the p value was (0.000), there was a relationship between maternal age and the incidence of LBW where the p value was (0.023), there was a relationship between parity and the incidence of LBW where the p value was (0.050). And the results of this study, it is hoped that the UPTD of the Betungan Care Health Center will provide nutrition education and high risk factors for Low Birth Weight (LBW).Downloads
