Media Sosial Sebagai Arena Politik Baru: Strategi Digital Politisi Muda Dalam Membangun Partisipasi Gen Z
Abstract
Social media has now become a new stage for politics, especially for young politicians who want to connect with Gen Z voters. This article discusses how digital strategies are used by young politicians to build political participation among a generation that was born and raised in the digital era. Gen Z is highly active on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and X, where they don’t just look for entertainment but also use them as spaces to express political opinions. Furthermore, this article highlights how young politicians package their political messages to stay relatable, interactive, and not too formal. Through visual content, storytelling, and two-way communication, social media is used to capture attention, build trust, and raise political awareness among young people. Using a qualitative approach, this study explores how digital strategies can make politics feel closer and more engaging for Gen Z. The results show that the presence of young politicians on social media is not only about image-building but also about creating new spaces for dialogue that encourage genuine political involvement and participation.
