Designing a Web-Based Motorcycle Spare Parts Inventory System
Abstract
To improve the effectiveness and efficiency of inventory data management, which was previously done manually and resulted in several issues such as inaccurate stock recording, delayed report generation, and challenges in real-time stock monitoring, this study aims to design a web-based motorcycle spare parts inventory system. This study uses the Waterfall development method, consisting of the steps of analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance, and employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology by evaluating 120 scientific papers as a basis for creating system requirements. With features for spare parts maintenance, spare parts data management, supplier management, inbound and outbound goods transactions, real-time stock monitoring, and inventory report generation, the planned system is built using web-based technologies with PHP, the Laravel framework, and the MySQL database. The planned system is built by utilizing web-based technology using PHP, the Laravel framework, and a MySQL database, which includes supplier management, incoming and outgoing goods transactions, real-time stock monitoring, and inventory report generation. Based on the research findings, the proposed system can improve data accuracy, accelerate reporting, and enable integrated management and inventory monitoring. The results are expected to become a successful and efficient spare parts inventory management solution.
