Abstract

P

This study aims to analyze the level of need for lodging facilities and its effect on optimizing passenger services at Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto Airport, Samarinda. This research employs a quantitative method using a survey approach with a Self-Selection Sampling data collection technique. Based on the Rule of Thumb calculation with a 5% margin of error, a sample of 100 passenger respondents in the departure area was obtained. Data analysis was conducted through a simple linear regression technique assisted by SPSS version 27 software. The descriptive analysis results indicate that the Lodging Facility Needs variable (X) falls into the 'good' category with a mean score of 4.17, while the Passenger Service Optimization variable (Y) is classified as 'very good' with a score of 4.22. The partial hypothesis test demonstrates a positive and significant effect
(t-value 8.777; sig. 0.000). Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) of 44.0% indicates the magnitude of variable X's contribution to variable Y. This research provides practical contributions as a strategic foundation for managing flight schedule changes and boosting non-aeronautical revenues, as well as academic contributions by enriching airport management literature regarding the provision of physical recovery infrastructure to achieve service excellence.
