Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of financial literacy and Instagram usage on financial management behavior among Generation Z in Bengkulu City. A quantitative approach with associative methods was applied. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed via Google Form. The sample consisted of 150 Generation Z respondents aged 18–25 years. Data analysis employed multiple linear regression using SPSS software. The findings reveal that both financial literacy and Instagram usage have a positive and significant effect on financial management behavior, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.489, indicating that 48.9% of the variation in financial management behavior is explained by the two variables. The study is limited to Generation Z in Bengkulu City, so the results cannot be generalized to the broader population. This research contributes to the field of financial management and digital literacy, and provides insights for policymakers to design financial education programs through social media platforms.
