Penguatan Kesadaran Hukum Masyarakat terhadap Perlindungan Pekerja Anak melalui Edukasi Hukum Partisipatif
Abstract
The protection of child labor does not only depend on the existence of legal provisions, but also on the understanding and legal awareness of the community in preventing practices that can ignore children's rights. The problems found include limited public understanding of child labor protection provisions, children's rights, and the role of the family and community in its prevention. This activity aims to strengthen public legal awareness of child labor protection through participatory legal education. The methods used are an educational and participatory approach through the delivery of legal materials, interactive discussions, questions and answers, and simple case studies involving community elements and related stakeholders. The results of the activity show that there is an increase in participants' understanding of the child's working age limit, children's rights to education and development, the impact of child labor, and the importance of family and community involvement in child protection efforts. Participatory legal education can be a preventive strategy to build community legal awareness and strengthen the role of the social environment in child labor protection. This activity shows that strengthening legal awareness at the community level needs to be carried out in a sustainable manner and involves various elements of society.
