The Relationship Between Work Stress And Work Environment On Work Life Balance Among Rehabilitation Officers At The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Of Bengkulu Province In 2025
Abstract
Work-life balance is an individual's ability to balance work responsibilities with personal life. Indonesia has a low work-life balance index, while job stress and the work environment are suspected to be factors influencing this balance among rehabilitation officers. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between job stress and the work environment and work-life balance among rehabilitation officers at the Bengkulu Province National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in 2025. The research method used was quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was total sampling, with a sample size of 60 rehabilitation officers at the Bengkulu Province BNN. Univariate analysis revealed that almost all respondents (83.3%) had mild levels of work stress, the majority (73.3%) rated the work environment as good, and almost half (45.0%) had moderate levels of work-life balance. Bivariate analysis results showed a relationship between job stress and work-life balance (p=0.000), and a relationship between the work environment and work-life balance (p=0.002) for rehabilitation officers at the Bengkulu Province National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in 2025. The researcher recommends that the management of the Bengkulu Province BNN pay attention to managing work stress and improving the quality of the work environment to support the work-life balance of officers, thereby improving the quality of drug rehabilitation services.
