An Analysis of Factors Influencing The Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health in Health Service Facilities at Health Centers Across Bengkulu Province
Abstract
The implementation of occupational safety and health (OHS) in health care facilities at health centers in Bengkulu Province remains low. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the implementation of occupational safety and health in health care facilities at health centers throughout Bengkulu Province. This quantitative study used an analytical survey approach. Purposive sampling was used to select the sample, and data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 72 respondents responsible for OHS at health centers. Univariate analysis revealed that most OHS implementation at the health center was good. Bivariate analysis revealed a significant influence between policies, management support, facilities, supervision, training, and OHS information on OHS implementation at the community health centers. There was no significant influence between tenure and OHS implementation at health centers. The results of the multivariate analysis revealed a significant simultaneous influence between policies, management support, facilities, supervision, training, and OHS information on OHS implementation in health centers throughout Bengkulu Province, with the dominant factor being policy. The researchers recommend that the health center strengthen OHS policy implementation, management commitment and support, increase the capacity of OHS officers, and continuously improve OHS communication and information delivery systems.
