Abstract

Green tea is known to contain polyphenol compounds, which greatly support its antioxidant activity. This activity makes green tea extract can be used orally or topically. In addition, the nutritional content contained in green tea is also anti-bacterial because it contains active catechins, ice cubes are also an ingredient for processing this Green Tea Ice Cube, where Ice Cubes can also be a factor in the breeding of bacteria, If Green Ice Tea is made through poor processing processes and less clean sanitation this drink can trigger the proliferation of bacteria. If green tea contaminated by bacteria is ingested by humans, it can cause various types of diseases such as dysentery and diarrhea. Based on data from the Bengkulu City Health Office, diarrhea cases in 2025 will be the highest number of diarrhea cases in Bengkulu Province with 6,326 cases. Overall, so this study aims to calculate the number of germs using the total plate number method in green iced tea drinks sold in the city of Bengkulu.
