The Relationship Between Mothers' Attitudes About High-Risk Pregnancy and the Completeness of Antenatal Care (ANC) in the Teras Terunjam Community Health Center Work Area in 2025

Abstract

Breastfeeding coverage in Indonesia in 2024 was 74.73%. Of the 33 reporting provinces, 29 (88%) reported exclusive breastfeeding coverage. This study aimed to determine the effect of health education on the knowledge of pregnant women in their second and third trimesters regarding breastfeeding in the L. Sidoharjo Community Health Center, Musi Rawas Regency.This research used an analytical cross-sectional design. This study was conducted at the L. Sidoharjo Community Health Center in December 2025. The sample consisted of 38 pregnant women in their second and third trimesters, with sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of the chi-square statistical test indicate that health education significantly influences the knowledge of pregnant women in their second and third trimesters regarding breastfeeding in the L. Sidoharjo Community Health Center, Musi Rawas Regency, with a P value of 0.000. The researcher recommends providing health education to pregnant women by utilizing technological advances to increase their knowledge of the importance of breastfeeding and its other benefits. It is hoped that mothers will disseminate the information obtained from the group leaflet education to their neighbors or family and be able to apply it.
