The Relationship Between Family Knowledge and Support and DPT, Hepatitis B, and Hib Immunization at Sidoharjo Community Health Center, Musi Rawas Regency
Abstract
The latest national DPT-HB-Hib immunization coverage shows a positive trend, reaching a high percentage of 91.9% in one region in 2024. The Musi Rawas Regency Immunization Week achievement remains at 63%, while the national target is expected to reach 90%. The South Sumatra Provincial Health Office continues to strive to achieve this target by involving health workers and proactive community participation. This research used an analytical cross-sectional study design. It was conducted at the L. Sidoharjo Community Health Center in December 2025. The sample consisted of 61 mothers with toddlers aged 12-18 months, with sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Chi-square statistical test results showed a relationship between knowledge and DPT-HB-Hib immunization (P value -0.003) and family support with DPT-HB-Hib immunization (P value = 0.024). The researchers recommend that the L. Sidoharjo Community Health Center (Puskesmas) improve the provision of IEC (communication, information, and education) regarding DPT-HB-Hib immunization for infants
