PREVALENSI PENURUNAN TAJAM PENGLIHATAN PADA PENDERITA DIABETES MELITUS DI KOTA BENGKULU DAN FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHINYA
Abstract
Pendahuluan: Diabetes adalah penyakit gangguan metabolik dengan adanya hiperglikemia kronik dimana terjadi resistensi insulin atau gangguan sekresi yang menyebabkan komplikasi multiorgan termasuk komplikasi pada mata, ginjal, saraf, pembuluh darah, dan jantung. Diperkirakan dari 382 juta orang tersebut, 175 juta di antaranya belum terdiagnosis sehingga terancam berkembang progresif menjadi komplikasi tanpa disadari dan tanpa pencegahan Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Observasional analitik dengan desain penelitian Cross Sectional yang bertujuan untuk melihat adanya hubungan antara faktor risiko dengan efek, dengan cara pendekatan, observasi atau pengumpulan data sekaligus pada suatu waktu. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah penderita DM yang berdomisili di Kota Bengkulu. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling, yaitu penderita DM yang datang berkunjung ke puskesmas di Kota Bengkulu pada saat dilakukan penelitian. Puskesmas yang dipilih adalah puskesmas dengan jumlah penderita diabetes mellitus terbanyak berdasarkan laporan Dinas Kesehatan Kota Bengkulu. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Beberapa factor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian penurunan tajam penglihatan pada penderita Diabetes yaitu: Umur (OR=3.467), jenis kelamin,Lama Sakit (OR=2.922), Merokok, Hipertensi, Keiasaan Minum Obat dan Kebiasaan periksa gula darah (OR=3.138). Kesimpulan: Beberapa factor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian penurunan tajam penglihatan pada penderita Diabetes yaitu: Umur (OR=3.467), Lama Sakit (OR=2.922) dan Kebiasaan periksa gula darah (OR=3.138).
