TREND PENYIMPANAN OBAT KERAS PADA RUMAH TANGGA DI KOTA BENGKULU
Abstract
Pendahuluan: Praktik pengobatan sendiri pada masyarakat atau swamedikasi mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Hal ini menyebabkan 94,3% masyarakat menyatakan menyimpan obat-obatan di rumah dan diperoleh 49,8% masyarakat mendapatkan obat keras tanpa resep dokter dalam praktik swamedikasi yang mereka lakukan. Penyimpanan ini memiliki resiko cukup tinggi jika tidak dilakukan manajemen obat dengan baik dalam penyimpanan obat pada rumah tangga. Perlunya penelitian dilakukan untuk melihat bagaimana perilaku penyimpanan obat keras yang dibeli tanpa resep dokter pada rumah tangga. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Cross-Sectional dengan desain survei cluster 2 tahap. Penelitian kuantitatif dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner semi terstruktur. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak sederhana (Simple Random Sampling) digunakan untuk memilih klaster pada tahap pertama dan pengambilan klaster tahap kedua pada rumah tangga dilakukan secara acak sistematik (Systematic Random sampling). Hasil dan Pembahasan: Diperoleh 100 rumah tangga dari 9 klaster yang ditetapkan. Diperoleh 82% terdapat penyimpanan obat keras tanpa resep dokter dengan mayoritas 86% obat keras dengan indikasi analgetik pada rumah tangga. Diperoleh 30% obat kadaluarsa dan 54% antibiotik yang disimpan. Kesimpulan: Penyimpanan obat kadaluarsa membahayakan jika dikonsumsi kembali dan penyimpanan antibiotik menggambarkan bahwa masyarakat masih banyak yang tidak menyelesaikan dalam penggunaan antibiotik yang dapat menyebabkan resistensi penggunaan obat.
