Abstract

The process of recording teacher attendance at SD Negeri 50 Kota Bengkulu still uses an attendance book, resulting in manual data management. This study aims to develop a web-based teacher attendance system using QR Code and location validation. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and literature study. The system was developed using the Waterfall method with PHP and MySQL and Visual Studio Code. The admin can manage teacher data, schedules, QR Codes, attendance data, and reports, while teachers record their attendance by scanning the QR Code and logging in using a username and password. The system automatically displays the schedule and validates the attendance time and location based on a predetermined polygon area. The system also limits attendance recording to once per day and provides a 15-minute late tolerance. The implementation results show that the system can perform attendance recording, location and time validation, data storage, and report generation, which can be printed and exported to Excel. Testing using Black Box Testing shows that the main system functions operate according to the requirements. The developed system can assist the school in digitally recording and managing teacher attendance and provide data for administrative needs.
