Factors Related to Nutritional Status of Pregnant Women in The Coastal Area of Kaur Regency in 2025
Abstract
Pregnancy is the most crucial time for fetal growth, requiring special attention. One factor influencing the success of a pregnancy is nutritional status. The World Health Organization (WHO) 2018 states that the prevalence of pregnant women experiencing Chronic Energy Deficiency tends to be more common in developing countries than in developed ones. Based on 2024 data, the number of pregnant women at Bintuhan Health Center is 321. An initial survey conducted by the researchers in the coastal area of Kaur Regency found that there are 321 pregnant women. The aim of this study is to identify the factors related to the nutritional status of pregnant women in the coastal area of Kaur Regency in 2025. Method: This research is analytical with a cross-sectional study design, which studies the dynamics of correlation between risk factors and effects through observation or data collection at a specific time. The population in this study consists of all pregnant women in the coastal area of Kaur Regency in 2025, totaling 101 women. The sampling technique used in this research is total sampling, where the sample size equals the population. Thus, the sample size in this study is 101 women over one month. The results show a relationship between knowledge and the nutritional status of pregnant women in the coastal area of Kaur Regency in 2025. Result and Discussion: There is a relationship between energy intake and the nutritional status of pregnant women in the coastal area of Kaur Regency in 2025. There is a relationship between economic status and the nutritional status of pregnant women in the coastal area of Kaur Regency in 2025. Conclusion: The recommendations from this research can enhance understanding in the field of health, particularly regarding nutritional status in the coastal area of Kaur Regency in 2025.
