HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP TENTANG PERSONAL HYGIENE DENGAN KEJADIAN SKABIES

Abstract
Pendahuluan: Skabies adalah penyakit kulit yang disebabkan oleh infeksi parasit dan sering kali dipengaruhi oleh faktor kebersihan pribadi serta pengetahuan dan sikap seseorang. Di Indonesia, meskipun prevalensi skabies mengalami penurunan, penyakit ini masih menjadi masalah kesehatan yang signifikan, terutama di daerah dengan sanitasi rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan dan sikap tentang personal hygiene dengan kejadian scabies. Metode: Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 83 responden yang dipilih melalui simple random sampling di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Cibiru, Kota Bandung. Variabel dependen dalam penelitian ini adalah kejadian skabies, sementara variabel independen yang diteliti adalah pengetahuan dan sikap terkait personal hygiene. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan uji chi-square. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan rendah tentang skabies berhubungan signifikan dengan tingginya kejadian skabies (p = 0,001, OR = 7,313). Selain itu, sikap negatif terhadap kebersihan pribadi juga berhubungan dengan peningkatan risiko skabies (p = 0,024, OR = 3,467). Pengetahuan dan sikap yang buruk terkait kebersihan pribadi meningkatkan kemungkinan terjadinya skabies. Kesimpulan: Pengetahuan dan sikap yang baik tentang personal hygiene berperan penting dalam mencegah skabies. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk meningkatkan edukasi kesehatan tentang kebersihan pribadi di masyarakat, terutama di wilayah berisiko tinggi.
