Proper footcare can prevent wounds and amputations in people with diabetes mellitus. Data from the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center (Puskesmas) area shows that some people with diabetes mellitus still do not practice optimal footcare. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and family leadership and footcare practices among people with diabetes mellitus in the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center area in Bengkulu City. This study used a descriptive analytical method with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 72 respondents with diabetes mellitus, selected using a random sampling technique. Family support and leadership were measured using a questionnaire, while footcare practices were also measured using a questionnaire for those with diabetes mellitus. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods using the chi-square test at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed that most respondents received good family support, had good family leadership, and practiced footcare in the moderate to good category. Bivariate analysis results showed a significant relationship between support and footcare implementation, as well as leadership and footcare implementation in patients with diabetes mellitus. It seeks to identify the marketing costs, profits, marketing margins, and marketing efficiency of coffee in Pulau Village, Pajar Bulan Subdistrict, Lahat Regency. This study employs a survey method using questionnaires administered to respondents. There are two marketing channels in Pulau Village. In Marketing Channel I, the marketing entities involved are farmers and wholesalers. In Marketing Channel II, the marketing entities involved are farmers, small retailers, and wholesalers. Marketing Channel I is more efficient than Marketing Channel II because it has a lower margin. With a lower margin, the share received by farmers is higher. In Channel I, the marketing margin is Rp. 1,000.00, and the Farmer’s Share is 97.45%. In Channel II, the marketing margin is Rp. 2,000.00 and the Farmer’s Share is 94.96%. Good-quality meat can be obtained in traditional markets with hygienic conditions and minimal microbial contamination. Inadequate sanitation can trigger various diseases; therefore, proper sanitation practices in traditional markets are crucial as preventive and monitoring measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in the community. Serdang Bedagai Regency is one of the regencies in North Sumatra whose main source of animal protein comes from beef. There are several traditional markets in this regency, such as Sei Rampah Public Market, Bedagai Market, and Bengkel Market. These three locations are the centers of beef sales in Serdang Bedagai Regency. This study aims to analyze microbial contamination in beef sold in several traditional markets in Serdang Bedagai Regency. The study used a descriptive method to determine bacterial contamination in beef. Research parameters included observation of Total Plate Count (TPC) and microbial contamination analysis, including E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Salmonella spp. contamination. The results showed the highest TPC at SR3 with 2 × 10⁷ CFU/g, the highest E. coli contamination at TB2 with 78 × 10³ CFU/g, the highest Staphylococcus aureus contamination at SR3 with 378 × 10² CFU/g, and only the SR3 sample was positive for Salmonella spp. contamination. Based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) No. 7388-2009 on the maximum limit of microbial contamination in food, the test results for TPC, E. coli, and Staphylococcus aureus contamination exceeded the threshold, and one sample was found to contain Salmonella spp. 2026-05-21T10:51:18+07:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://jurnal.unived.ac.id/index.php/mude/article/view/11391 The Effect of Fermentation Duration on the NPK Content and C/N Ratio in Chicken Manure Using M21 2026-05-21T10:51:46+07:00 Rizky Hidayah Siregar regarrizky912@gmail.com Kurniawan Sinaga sinagakurniawan@yahoo.com This study aimed to determine the effect of fermentation time on nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K) contents, and the C/N ratio of chicken manure with the addition of the M21 bioactivator. The experiment employed several fermentation-duration treatments analyzed through laboratory testing, and the data were evaluated using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that the average nitrogen content in each treatment was P0 = 0.698%, P1 = 1.114%, P2 = 1.164%, and P3 = 1.144%. Fermentation time had no significant effect (P>0.05) on phosphorus (P) content but had a significant effect (P<0.05) on potassium (K) content. Meanwhile, the C/N ratio showed no significant difference (P>0.05) at each week of observation, although numerically it decreased from P0 to P3. This decrease in the C/N ratio indicates an improved decomposition process of organic matter during fermentation. Therefore, it can be concluded that fermentation duration affects the C/N ratio as well as N and K contents but does not influence the P content of chicken manure compost. The best quality compost was obtained in treatment P2 with 21 days of fermentation, showing N content of 1.164%, P of 1.032%, and K of 1.322%. This study aimed to examine the effect of organic planting media and amino acid fertilizer on the growth of arabica coffee seedlings (Coffea arabica) Sigarar Utang variety. The research was conducted at the experimental field of the Agrotechnology Study Program, Pancabudi Development University, Glugur Rimbun Village using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors. The first factor was organic planting media composition (chicken manure and topsoil) with four levels: M0 (control), M1 (150 grams), M2 (300 grams), and M3 (450 grams). The second factor was amino acid fertilizer dosage with four levels: A0 (control), A1 (2 grams/liter), A2 (4 grams/liter), and A3 (6 grams/liter), resulting in 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications. Parameters observed included plant height, stem diameter, leaf number, root length, and root volume at 4, 8, and 12 weeks after planting. Results showed that the M3A3 combination treatment (450 grams organic media + 6 grams/liter amino acid fertilizer) provided the best results for all observation parameters at 12 weeks with plant height of 18.083 cm, stem diameter of 2.742 mm, and leaf number of 13.417 leaves.
