Design and Development of a Web-Based Bouquet Sales Information System with Transaction Management and Sales Reporting in Palembang City

Abstract

The development of information technology encourages small and medium enterprises to digitalize their sales processes to improve transaction management and reporting efficiency. Bucketbungakita.plg, a bouquet sales business in Palembang City, still manages sales records and reports conventionally, causing difficulties in monitoring orders, payments, and sales information. This study aims to design and develop a web-based bouquet sales information system that supports transaction management and sales reporting. The system development method used is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the Waterfall model, consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation stages. Customers can view products, manage shopping carts, place orders, complete checkout processes, make payments through bank transfers, and upload payment proofs. Administrators can manage products, transactions, payments, deliveries, and sales reports. Black box testing showed that all tested functions worked successfully according to the defined requirements. The developed system can support more structured transaction recording and provide easier management of sales reports.
