Decision Support System For Determining Toddler Nutrition Status Using Web-Based Simple Additive Weighting Method (Case Study: UPTD Tegal Timur Health Center)
Abstract
The determination of nutritional status and growth of toddlers at UPTD Puskesmas Tegal Timur still relies on manual anthropometric calculation based on the Ministry of Health's standards, which requires high precision, takes relatively long, and does not yet support structured prioritization of toddler treatment. This study develops a web-based decision support system using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to assist the process of determining toddlers' nutritional status and growth. The system is built using the Laravel framework and MySQL database, integrating Z-Score calculation based on Indonesia's Child Anthropometric Standard (Ministry of Health Regulation No. 2 of 2020) into the SAW weighting process. Z-Score values from anthropometric indicators form the basis of the decision matrix, normalization, preference value calculation, and toddler priority ranking. The system implementation provides features for managing toddler data, assessment data, criteria and weights, SAW calculation, growth chart visualization, and reporting. Testing was conducted using the Black Box method and validated by comparing system results with manual calculation. All system functions worked as required, and calculation results at every stage were consistent with manual calculation, so the system provides a more objective basis for determining toddler treatment priority.
