Comparative Design and Development of a Web-Based Wedding Organizer Booking Information System to Improve Efficiency and Service Quality of Wedding Organizers
Abstract
The development of information technology has encouraged the digitalization of various service sectors, including Wedding Organizer (WO) services. The ordering process on Amanda Wedding Organizer is still done manually, which has the potential to cause recording errors, schedule conflicts, delays in preparing reports, and limited access to information for customers. This research aims to design and build a web-based Wedding Organizer booking information system using the Django framework to improve operational efficiency and service quality. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the Waterfall development model. Data was collected through observations, interviews with the owner and administrator of Wedding Organizer Amanda, and literature study, then analyzed to identify the functional and non-functional needs that underpinned the design of the system using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The results of the research resulted in a web-based information system that provides package management features, online booking, payment uploads and verification, meeting schedule arrangements, order status monitoring, and the preparation of administrative reports through an integrated dashboard. Implementation of the Django framework supports more structured data management, minimizes the potential for administrative errors, and improves service access for customers and administrators alike. Thus, the system developed is able to support the digitization of Amanda's Wedding Organizer business processes so that operations become more effective, efficient, and documented in an integrated manner.
