A Study On The Use Of Social Media In Acts Of Violence Committed By Children
Abstract
This study aims to identify the forms of social media use in acts of violence committed by children, the influencing factors, and the legal enforcement efforts undertaken. The research method is normative juridical. The findings indicate that social media functions as a means of provocation, documentation, and dissemination of violence committed by children, while weak parental control and lack of digital literacy exacerbate the situation. In conclusion, social media has a significant influence on children’s violent behavior patterns. It is recommended to enhance supervision, promote digital literacy education, and enforce the law firmly while still upholding the best interests of the child.
