The Relationship Between the Electronic Medical Record Registration System and Outpatient Satisfaction at Santa Elisabeth Hospital, Medan

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is a level of patient feeling that arises as a result of the performance of health services obtained after the patient compares it with what he expected. If the patient does not find satisfaction from the services provided, the patient tends to make a decision not to make a repeat visit to the hospital. Patient satisfaction as a service user is one indicator in assessing the quality of services in the hospital. The quality of health services refers to the level of perfection of health services in creating a sense of satisfaction in each patient. The purpose of this study is to identify the Relationship Between the Electronic Medical Record Registration System and Outpatient Satisfaction. The analytical research design used a cross-sectional approach. The research sample are 95 respondents with an Accidental Sampling sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis used chi-square. The results of this study obtain the electronic medical record registration system in the good category of 70 respondents (73.7%) and patient satisfaction in the satisfy category of 49 respondents (51.6%). The chi-square test results obtain a p-value of 0.001 (p<0.05), indicating a significant relationship between the electronic medical record registration system and outpatient satisfaction at Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan 2026. The hospital is expected to continue optimizing the electronic medical record registration system so that registration services can run smoothly and outpatient satisfaction can continue to increase.
