Peningkatan Kapasitas Pengelolaan dan Pemasaran Bank Sampah melalui Penyediaan TPS dan Edukasi Digital di Desa Suci
Abstract
Bank Sampah Unit (BSU) Larahan Makmur in Desa Suci faced several challenges, including limited temporary waste storage facilities, suboptimal waste management systems, and constraints in marketing recycled products. This community service program aimed to enhance management and marketing capacity through a needs-based and participatory approach. The program activities consisted of a preliminary survey and coordination with village authorities, preparation and construction of an inorganic Temporary Waste Storage (TPS) facility, and implementation of training and digital marketing assistance. The establishment of the TPS improved waste sorting practices and storage organization, contributing to more systematic operational management. Evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments indicated a significant increase in participants’ knowledge, with the average score rising from 6.1 to 9.3 (a 52% improvement). Furthermore, the partner institution successfully adopted digital marketing strategies by creating and activating an online marketplace account and independently uploading product listings. The findings demonstrate that integrating infrastructure support with capacity building and digital marketing education effectively strengthens community-based waste management institutions and enhances their economic potential. This model can be adapted and replicated in similar community-based waste management initiatives.
