Abstract

Adolescent girls constitute a group requiring accurate health information regarding reproductive health and the practice of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), particularly within the environment of Islamic boarding schools (*pesantren*). This community service initiative aimed to strengthen the knowledge of female students (*santriwati*) regarding reproductive health and PHBS through health education activities at the Sunan Drajat Islamic Boarding School in Lamongan. The activity was conducted on June 20, 2026, targeting female students. Education was delivered interactively through presentations, discussions, and Q&A sessions covering physical and psychological changes during adolescence, reproductive organ hygiene, infection prevention, and the application of PHBS in daily life. Knowledge assessment was carried out using pre-tests and post-tests involving 50 participants. Evaluation results showed that the average knowledge score rose from 97.2 in the pre-test to 97.6 in the post-test, an increase of 0.4 points. Specifically, 82% of participants maintained the same score, 12% saw an increase, and 6% experienced a decrease. The participants' high initial scores—with 80% achieving perfect scores on the pre-test—indicate a "ceiling effect" that limited the scope for score improvement. Although the increase in the mean score was relatively small, the educational activity played a role in maintaining existing high levels of knowledge while reinforcing the understanding of participants who had not previously achieved maximum scores. Reproductive health and PHBS education activities can serve as a promotional effort to support health literacy among adolescent girls in Islamic boarding school environments.
