Penguatan Kapasitas Kader IKABAYA IMM Kota Surabaya Melalui Web-Based Mobile Dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Dan Literasi Kesehatan Diabetes Mellitus
Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a growing public health issue, including in Surabaya, which has a relatively high prevalence. Low public health literacy and limited skills in managing complications, particularly diabetic wounds, contribute significantly to the increased risk of complications. IKABAYA IMM Surabaya, as the community partner, plays a strategic role in health education; however, it still faces challenges in practical skills, health literacy, and limited access to digital learning media. This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of IKABAYA cadres through the development of a web-based mobile learning system integrated with diabetic wound care training. The methods include training, mentoring, and the implementation of digital learning combined with direct practice (blended learning).Preliminary findings indicate that cadres still have limitations in practical skills and health literacy, although they show high enthusiasm in participating in the program. In addition, the development of the web-based learning platform is still in progress to support sustainable learning.
