Developing Digital Storytelling Using A Multi-Plot Flipbook “Singaraja Adventures” For 6th-Grade Students At Undiksha Laboratory Elementary School
Abstract
This study aimed to identify students’ learning needs, develop the “Singaraja Adventures” Multi-Plot Flipbook, describe its implementation, and evaluate its quality. Using the ADDIE model, the study involved 52 sixth-grade students and one English teacher at UNDIKSHA Laboratory Elementary School. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, syllabus analysis, expert evaluations, and learning assessments. The needs analysis showed that interactive digital media and storytelling were highly needed, with an average score of 4.3. Expert evaluations rated the product 84%–90%, while student responses averaged 4.07. Students’ mean achievement scores were 8.00 in Class 6A and 7.00 in Class 6B. These findings indicate that the flipbook is a suitable and engaging medium for English learning. However, further research is needed to establish its effectiveness.
