Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of hand-eye coordination training on the smash ability of volleyball players at SMK Negeri 3 Kaur. This research employed an experimental research design. The sample consisted of all 16 volleyball players at SMK Negeri 3 Kaur. The improvement in volleyball smash skills can be observed by comparing the results of the pre-test and post-test. In the pre-test, the highest score was 15, the lowest score was 8, and the mean score was 12.13. In the post-test, the highest score was 19, the lowest score was 13, and the mean score increased to 16.81. Thus, the mean score increased from 12.13 in the pre-test to 16.81 in the post-test. The instrument used in this study was a volleyball smash skill test. Based on the pre-test and post-test data on volleyball smash skills among the players at SMK Negeri 3 Kaur, the normality test results indicated that all data were normally distributed. Furthermore, the t-test results showed that the calculated t-value was 9.435, which was greater than the t-table value of 1.753. This finding indicates that hand-eye coordination training had a significant effect on improving smash ability. Therefore, the hypothesis stating that hand-eye coordination training has an effect on the smash ability of volleyball players at SMK Negeri 3 Kaur was accepted.
